1 Atthi kiñci saṁyojanaṁ appahāya arahattappattīti? Āmantā. Atthi kiñci sakkāyadiṭṭhiṁ appahāya …pe… vicikicchaṁ appahāya …pe… sīlabbataparāmāsaṁ appahāya … rāgaṁ appahāya … dosaṁ appahāya … mohaṁ appahāya … anottappaṁ appahāya arahattappattīti? Na hevaṁ vattabbe …pe….

2 Atthi kiñci saṁyojanaṁ appahāya arahattappattīti? Āmantā. Arahā sarāgo sadoso samoho samāno samakkho sapaḷāso saupāyāso sakilesoti? Na hevaṁ vattabbe …pe… nanu arahā nirāgo niddoso nimmoho nimmāno nimmakkho nippaḷāso nirupāyāso nikkilesoti? Āmantā. Hañci arahā nirāgo …pe… nikkileso, no ca vata re vattabbe—“atthi kiñci saṁyojanaṁ appahāya arahattappattī”ti.

3 Na vattabbaṁ—“kiñci saṁyojanaṁ appahāya arahattappattī”ti? Āmantā. Arahā sabbaṁ buddhavisayaṁ jānātīti? Na hevaṁ vattabbe. Tena hi atthi kiñci saṁyojanaṁ appahāya arahattappattīti.
