Chapter Five

Sandhita

1 Beneath the Bodhi Tree,

bright green and growing,

being mindful, my perception

became one with the Buddha.

2 It’s been thirty one eons

since I gained that perception;

and it’s due to that perception

that I’ve attained the ending of defilements.
