Random Name Picker: Wheel of Names
Paste a list of names and spin the wheel to pick a random name, or several at once. Great for classrooms, giveaways, team picks and raffles, with each winner taken off the wheel so nobody is picked twice.
Every entry has the same chance. Your list stays on your device; it’s only in the link if you share it.
How to use the Random Name Picker
- Paste or type the names, one per line.
- Choose how many winners to pick each time.
- Click Pick a name, or click the wheel, and watch it land.
- Pick again: the last winners come off the wheel first, unless you untick that option.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the name picker really random?
- Yes. Every name on the wheel has exactly the same chance of being picked, every time.
- Can I pick more than one name at once?
- Yes. Set "Winners per pick" and that many different names are drawn in one go, like drawing raffle tickets.
- How do I stop the same person being picked twice?
- Leave "Remove the winner after each pick" ticked. Winners come off the wheel before the next spin, which is ideal for taking turns in class.
- Can I save or share my class list?
- Yes. Click Copy link. The names are stored in the link itself, so bookmark it or share it and the wheel opens with the same names.
- How many names can I add?
- Up to 200 names. Duplicate names are allowed and count as extra chances.
- Are the names sent anywhere?
- No. The names stay on your device and are only in the link if you share it.
