Frequently asked questions
- Will I hear when the timer ends?
- Yes. A short chime plays when time is up, as long as the tab is open and your device's sound is on.
- Can I pause the timer?
- Yes. Press Pause and Resume; Reset sets it back to the start.
- How do I share a countdown to a date?
- Pick the date and an optional name, then use "Copy link to this countdown". Anyone who opens the link sees the same countdown in their own time zone.
- Does the timer keep running in a background tab?
- Yes. It counts from the clock, not from ticks, so it stays accurate even if your browser slows the page down in the background.
- Is anything sent anywhere?
- No. The timer runs on your device. A shared countdown link only contains the date and name you chose.
