Time Zone Converter: Compare Times Across Cities
Convert a time between cities and time zones, with daylight saving applied for the exact date. Add up to six cities, see who is a day ahead, and use the meeting planner to find an hour that works for everyone.
Daylight saving changes are applied for the date you pick. Times are worked out on your device.
How to use the Time Zone Converter
- Your own city is added first. Search to add more cities or zones, like Tokyo, IST or Europe/Paris.
- Pick a date and time in the main city, or press Now for the current time.
- Read the time in every city, or tap an hour in the meeting planner to try another time.
- Copy the times, or copy a link that opens with the same cities.
Frequently asked questions
- Does it handle daylight saving time?
- Yes. Each city uses its own daylight saving rules for the date you pick, so a time in March or October converts correctly even in the weeks when only some countries have changed their clocks.
- How do I find a good meeting time across time zones?
- Add everyone's city, then look at the meeting planner. Green hours are 9 am to 5 pm in that city, pale hours are early morning or evening, and dark hours are night. Pick a column where everyone is green or pale.
- What do EST, PST, IST and CET mean here?
- Abbreviations name a time zone, not a place, and some are used by several countries. The converter maps each to a representative city, for example EST to New York and IST to India, and follows that city's daylight saving rules.
- What if the time doesn't exist or happens twice?
- When clocks jump forward, times inside the gap don't happen; the converter shows the moment just after the change. When clocks go back, an hour happens twice; it shows the first one and says so.
- Can I share the cities I picked?
- Yes. The page link updates with your cities. Use "Copy link to these cities" and anyone who opens it sees the same list.
- Is anything sent anywhere?
- No. Times are worked out on your device with its built-in time zone rules.
