JSON Visualizer: View JSON as a Tree or Graph

Paste or open a JSON file to explore it as a collapsible tree or as a graph of connected boxes. Search keys and values, copy the path to any field, and see exactly where invalid JSON breaks. Your JSON never leaves your device.

Your JSON never leaves your device. Need to tidy or minify it instead? Use the JSON Formatter.

How to use the JSON Visualizer

  1. Paste your JSON, open a .json file, or try the sample.
  2. Explore it in the Tree view: open and close objects and arrays, or search for a key or value.
  3. Switch to the Graph view to see the structure as connected boxes. Drag to move around and zoom in or out.
  4. Click any field to copy its path, like $.users[0].name.

Frequently asked questions

What is a JSON viewer?
It shows JSON as a structure instead of a wall of text. Objects and arrays become rows you can open and close, so you can find what you need in large or deeply nested data.
What does the graph view show?
Each object or array is a box listing its fields. Fields that hold another object or array are joined by a line to that box, so you can see how the data fits together at a glance.
How do I copy the path to a value?
Click the field in the tree or the graph. Its path, such as $.order.items[2]["unit price"], is copied so you can use it in code or a query.
What if my JSON isn't valid?
You'll see the line and column of the first mistake, the line itself with a marker under the problem, and a plain explanation, such as a missing comma or a key in single quotes.
Can it handle large files?
Yes. Files up to 20 MB open, and the tree stays quick even with hundreds of thousands of values. The graph draws the first 2,000 boxes and tells you when there's more; focus on one part to see it in full.
How is this different from the JSON Formatter?
The JSON Formatter tidies or minifies JSON text so you can copy it. The visualizer is for reading and exploring the data. Use whichever fits; they work well together.
Is my JSON uploaded?
No. Everything happens on your device and your JSON never leaves it, so it's safe for private data.
