Valmiki Ramayana

Uttara Kanda 53

Change translation

Griffith's translation ends with the Yuddha Kanda, so there is no English here from him. The Sanskrit is in the menu above.

The Rámáyan of Válmíki, translated by Ralph T. H. Griffith (Griffith), 1874. Public domain by date. The Rámáyan of Válmíki, translated into English verse by Ralph T. H. Griffith, 1870 to 1874. Valmiki's telling, seven kandas.

An English verse translation of its day, not a complete one: Griffith leaves out some cantos, and his text stops at the end of the Yuddha Kanda. Griffith doesn't number his lines, so the numbers here count his stanzas, not Valmiki's verses.
