Your turn
Place a disc so that it traps a line of your opponent's discs between yours, and they all flip to your colour. Whoever has more discs when neither side can move wins.
The game runs on your device. Scores and settings are saved in this browser only. Nothing is sent anywhere.
How to play Reversi
- Black moves first. Against the computer, you play black.
- Place a disc so that one or more lines of your opponent's discs sit between it and another of yours. Those discs flip to your colour.
- Dots show where you can play. If you have no move, your turn passes.
- When neither side can move, whoever has more discs wins.
Frequently asked questions
- What's a good strategy?
- Corners can never be flipped, so they're valuable. Avoid the squares right next to an empty corner, and don't grab too many discs early on.
- How strong is the computer?
- Easy plays loosely, medium looks a few moves ahead, and hard looks further and plays the last ten moves perfectly.
- Can two people play?
- Yes. Choose "Two players" and take turns on the same device.
- Can I take back a move?
- Yes. Undo goes back to your previous turn.
- Is Reversi free?
- Yes. It's free to use, with no sign-up and nothing to install.
