Frequently asked questions

Can I change the text that's already in the PDF?
Cover the old words with White-out, then type the new words on top with Text. It looks like the text was changed. The original words are still inside the file, so don't use this to hide private information.
Can I fill in a form that has no fillable fields?
Yes. Choose Text, click on each blank and type. You can set the size and colour to match the form.
Does white-out remove information for good?
No. It covers what's underneath, the way correction tape does on paper. Someone could still copy the hidden text out of the file. For sensitive details, use a tool made for redaction.
Which characters can I type?
Letters, numbers and symbols used in English and other Western European languages. If a character can't be used, you'll be told which one before saving.
Can I undo a change?
Yes. Use Undo and Redo, or press Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+Z (Cmd on a Mac). Nothing changes in your PDF until you save.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Your PDF is edited on your device and never leaves it.
Is the PDF Editor free?
Yes. It's free to use, with no sign-up and nothing to install. Your files stay on your device.
