To find the date 90 days from today, open the free date calculator, choose Add or subtract time, leave Date as today, choose Add, type 90 and pick Days. The result appears straight away with the day of the week. The one thing to decide first is whether today counts as day 1: if it does, add 89 instead. That single day is where most 90-day deadlines go wrong.
Find the date 90 days from today
- Open the free date calculator.
- Choose Add or subtract time. The Date is already set to today.
- Choose Add, type
90in Amount, and select Days in Unit. - Read the date, for example Saturday, 13 February 2027 if you start from 15 November 2026.
For a date other than today, such as a purchase or arrival date, change Date first. The same steps work for 30, 60, 180 or any number of days. To count backwards, choose Subtract.
Day 0 or day 1? The rule that changes the answer
"Within 90 days" can be counted two ways:
- The start day is day 0. Day 1 is tomorrow, and the 90th day is the date the calculator shows. This is how most calendars and date tools count, and how the calculator works.
- The start day is day 1. Today counts as the first day, so the 90th day is one day earlier. Add 89 instead of 90.
| Start date | Add 90 days (start = day 0) | Start counted as day 1 |
|---|---|---|
| Sunday 15 November 2026 | Saturday 13 February 2027 | Friday 12 February 2027 |
| Tuesday 1 June 2027 | Monday 30 August 2027 | Sunday 29 August 2027 |
To check a span the other way round, use Days between dates with Include the end date ticked: 1 June to 29 August 2027 counts as 90 days when both ends are included.
When the terms don't say which they mean, plan for the earlier date. Being a day early never costs you a refund or a visa.
Common 90-day deadlines
Return and refund windows
Shops and online sellers set their own return periods, often 7, 14, 30 or 90 days. Most count from the delivery date, some from the purchase date. Check the receipt or the seller's policy, then add the days to the right starting date. If the last day falls on a weekend, don't assume it's extended.
Warranties
A 90-day warranty on a repair or a refurbished device usually runs from the date on the invoice. Note the end date in your phone's calendar the day you buy.
Probation periods
New jobs often have a probation of 90 days, 3 months or 6 months. Days and months give different answers: from 1 March 2027, 90 days is 30 May 2027 but 3 months is 1 June 2027. Your contract decides which.
Visa and permit stays
Many visas allow a stay of up to 90 days, and immigration authorities count strictly. For many visa rules, both the day you arrive and the day you leave count as days of stay, which is the "day 1" method. Some rules, like the Schengen area's "90 days in any 180-day period", are rolling windows that look back over past trips, which a simple add-days calculation can't handle. For those, use the official calculator provided by the authority and check the current rules before you travel.
Bills, notices and applications
"Pay within 90 days", "apply within 90 days of the result", "renew within 90 days of expiry". Official notices usually define how the days are counted; if yours doesn't, contact the issuing office.
Counting backwards: 90 days before a date
Some rules work the other way: "apply no earlier than 90 days before travel" or "book no more than 90 days ahead". Choose Subtract instead:
- 90 days before Sunday 10 January 2027 is Monday 12 October 2026.
90 days vs 3 months
These are close but rarely equal. Three calendar months can be 89, 90, 91 or 92 days depending on which months they cover. From 15 November 2026, 90 days is 13 February 2027, but 3 months is 15 February 2027. Use Days when the rule says days, and Months when it says months; the calculator handles both.
Other common counts from 15 November 2026

| 60 days | Thursday 14 January 2027 |
| 90 days | Saturday 13 February 2027 |
| 180 days | Friday 14 May 2027 |
| 365 days | Monday 15 November 2027 |

Once you have the date, set a reminder. The free countdown timer has a Countdown to a date mode: pick the deadline, name it ("Return the jacket", "Visa ends"), and it shows the days, hours and minutes left. Copy the link to keep it in your notes or share it.
