Frequently asked questions
- What happens if the audio is longer than the video?
- It's cut off where the video ends.
- And if it's shorter?
- By default it repeats until the video ends. You can choose to play it once instead; the rest of the video is then silent, or keeps its own sound if you're mixing.
- Can I keep the video's own sound?
- Yes. Choose "Mix it with the new audio" and set each volume, for example music at 30% under speech at 100%.
- Does the picture lose quality?
- No, H.264 videos (most MP4s from phones and cameras) keep their picture exactly as it is. Other videos are converted to H.264, at up to 1080p.
- What happens to my files?
- Your video and audio are deleted as soon as they're combined. Your MP4 is available to download for 1 hour, then it's deleted too. On a paid plan, your files and results are kept in My files until you delete them.
