Frequently asked questions

Which formats can I convert from?
JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF and ICO, and TIFF on devices that can open it. Animated GIFs keep their first frame.
Which format should I pick?
JPG for photos, PNG for screenshots and anything with see-through areas, WebP for smaller web images, ICO for icons.
Why is AVIF missing from the list?
AVIF is offered only on devices that can create it. Other devices can still open AVIF images and convert them to anything else.
Can I convert iPhone HEIC photos?
Use HEIC to JPG for those; it handles the HEIC format this page can't open.
