Frequently asked questions

Can I draw my own crop area?
Not yet. You pick a shape (square, portrait or landscape) and whether to keep the middle, the top or left, or the bottom or right. We cut away the rest.
Which shape should I use for social media?
Portrait (9:16) suits TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Square (1:1) and portrait (4:5) suit feed posts. Landscape (16:9) suits YouTube.
Which video formats can I crop?
Most common formats, including MP4, MOV, MKV, WEBM and AVI. You get an MP4 back. Videos larger than 1080p are scaled down to 1080p.
What happens to my files?
Your video is deleted as soon as it's cropped. Your new video is available to download for 1 hour, then it's deleted too. On a paid plan, your files and results are kept in My files until you delete them.
