Frequently asked questions

What comes across?
Every table on every page, in its own rows and columns, one sheet per page. Numbers such as 1,250.00 become real numbers you can add up. A page without a table gets its text, one line per row, so nothing is lost.
My table has no lines. Will it work?
Yes. Choose Tables without lines, and the columns are worked out from how the text lines up. Check the result: tables with lines usually come across more exactly.
Can it convert a scanned PDF?
Not directly. Pages that are pictures of text, such as scans, have no text to put in cells, and their sheet says so. Run OCR PDF on it first, then convert the result.
Can I convert a password-protected PDF?
Not yet. Remove the password first, then convert it.
What happens to my files?
Your PDF is deleted as soon as it's converted. Your result is available to download for 1 hour, then it's deleted too. On a paid plan, your files and results are kept in My files until you delete them.
Is PDF to Excel free?
You can try it free with a free account. To keep using it, add it to a paid plan, from $9 a month.
