- What format is the recording?
- M4A where your device supports it, otherwise WebM or Ogg. Press Save as WAV for an uncompressed file that opens in any audio editor.
- How do I make it an MP3?
- Download the recording and open it in our Audio Converter, or trim it first with the MP3 Cutter.
- Why is the level bar not moving?
- Check that the right microphone is chosen and isn't muted. If access was blocked, allow it from the camera and microphone icon next to the web address and press Start recording again.
- Can I choose a different microphone?
- Yes. After your first recording, every microphone on your device is listed and you can pick one before recording again.
- What does reduce echo and background noise do?
- It turns on your device's own voice clean-up, which suits speech. Turn it off for music or when you want the room to sound natural.
