- Is my video uploaded?
- No. The video is recorded and saved on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
- Why does the preview look flipped?
- The preview is mirrored, like looking in a mirror, because that feels natural. The recording isn't mirrored, so text behind you reads the right way round.
- Can I record without sound?
- Yes. Untick Record sound before you start. If no microphone is found, the video is recorded without sound and you're told so.
- What format is the video?
- MP4 where your device can record it (Safari, recent Chrome and Edge), otherwise WebM. Our video tools can trim or compress it.
- Does it work on phones?
- Yes, on recent phones and tablets. If you have a front and back camera, both are listed once the camera is on.
- The camera won't start. What can I do?
- Close other apps that may be using it, such as video call apps, and check that access isn't blocked from the camera icon next to the web address.
