How to play Air Hockey
- Choose the computer (easy, medium or hard) or two players, then press Start.
- Move your mallet with the mouse, a finger or the arrow keys. It stays in your half of the table.
- Hit the puck into the goal at the far end, and keep it out of yours.
- After each goal the puck is served to the player who let it in. First to 7 wins.
Frequently asked questions
- How do two players play on one device?
- On a touch screen, one player uses the bottom half and the other the top half, at the same time. On a keyboard, the bottom player uses the arrow keys or W, A, S and D and the top player uses I, J, K and L.
- How is the computer different on each level?
- On easy it reacts slowly and aims loosely. On hard it reads where the puck is going, guards its goal closely and aims at the corners.
- Can I play on a phone?
- Yes. Drag your finger in the bottom half and the mallet follows it.
- Why does the puck sometimes stop moving?
- It slows a little as it glides. If it stops in your half, go and hit it; the computer will do the same in its half.
- Is my record saved?
- Your wins and losses against the computer are kept in this browser on this device, for each level. Nothing is sent anywhere.
- Is Air Hockey free?
- Yes. It's free to use, with no sign-up and nothing to install.
