How to use Chat with Claude

  1. Sign in to your EveryApp account. Messages are paid for with your plan's credits, so chatting needs an account with a plan.
  2. Type a question or paste text into the message box and press Enter. Shift+Enter starts a new line.
  3. Attach images, PDFs or text files with the paperclip, by dragging them onto the chat, or by pasting them.
  4. Watch the answer appear as Claude writes it. Press Stop or Esc to end it early; you only pay for what was written.
  5. Copy an answer or a code block, regenerate the last answer, or edit an earlier message to ask again from there.
  6. Find every chat in the sidebar: search, rename, pin or delete them. Install the app to chat from your home screen.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to chat with Claude here?
There is no separate subscription. Each answer is paid for with credits from your EveryApp plan, based on the tokens it used: the text you sent (including the earlier messages of the chat, which the model rereads) and the answer it wrote. The model picker shows the price in credits per million tokens, every answer shows what it cost, and the bar at the top shows the credits you have left this period.
Can I use it on the Free plan?
No. Chat answers are paid for with plan credits and the Free plan has none for chat, so you'll see the upgrade sheet when you try to send. With a paid plan you can chat until your credits for the period run out; then you can upgrade or wait for the next period.
Which Claude model is this?
Claude Haiku 5.5, the fast model of Anthropic's Claude family, through Anthropic's API. This chat is made by EveryApp and powered by Claude; it isn't Anthropic's own Claude app, so your claude.ai account, chats and subscription aren't connected to it.
What files can I attach?
Images (PNG, JPEG, GIF and WebP), PDFs, and text files such as plain text, Markdown, CSV and JSON, up to 20 MB each. Word documents can't be read directly: save them as PDF first. Attached files are stored in your EveryApp files, so they count toward your storage.
Are my chats private?
Your chats are kept in your EveryApp account so they appear on all your devices, and only you can see them. To answer, the messages of a chat and its attachments are sent to Anthropic. EveryApp keeps a record of the tokens and credits each answer used, for billing. Analytics on this page never receive what you type, and session recording masks the whole chat. Delete a chat from the sidebar to remove it everywhere.
Why does an answer say the context was trimmed?
Every message resends the chat so far, and long chats get expensive. To keep each message affordable, only the most recent part of a long chat is sent, and the note tells you how many older messages were left out. Start a new chat when you change topic.
Does it work offline?
Installed, the app opens offline and you can read all your chats. Sending a message needs a connection; you'll see an offline note and your draft is kept.

It's a pro tool, included in paid plans from $9 a month. Every free tool stays free.
