Frequently asked questions
- How does the race time predictor work?
- It uses Riegel's formula: your time × (new distance ÷ distance) raised to the power 1.06. It assumes you've trained for the longer distance, so treat it as a guide.
- When should I replace my running shoes?
- Many runners replace shoes somewhere between 500 and 800 km (300 to 500 miles). Running Log adds up each pair's distance and lets you know when it reaches the number you set.
- Is my GPX file uploaded?
- No. The file is read on your device; only the run's distance, time, climb and a simplified outline of the route are saved.
- Which training plans are included?
- With Pro: First 5K (from run-walk to 30 minutes of running), Faster 5K and First 10K. Each puts three runs a week on the days you choose and ticks them off as you log.
- Who can see my runs?
- Only you. They stay on your device, and sync to your EveryApp account only if you sign in and agree. They're never sold or used for ads, and you can download or delete them any time.
- Is Running Log free?
- Yes. It's free to use, with no sign-up and nothing to install.
